A portable terminal (1) has a camera lens assembly (100) including a lens housing (101) formed at one end thereof with an opening (111a). The camera lens assembly (100) is rotatably accommodated in the portable terminal (1) so that the lens housing (101) selectively protrudes from an outer peripheral surface of the portable terminal (1). The opening (111a) is exposed to an exterior when the lens housing (101) protrudes out of the outer peripheral surface of the portable terminal. The user opens the opening (111a) for exposing the lens housing (101) only when it is necessary to use the camera lens assembly (100). The opening (111a) is shielded by means of the lens cover (102) when the camera lens assembly (100) is not in use. Consequently, performance of the camera element is not degraded by external light. <IMAGE>
