The mesh is secured to a frame assembled from sections (2-5) which each comprise two telescopic parts (8, 9) and a means for fixing these parts into position in order to give the desired section length. The frame contains a peripheral undercut groove (10) for holding a rubber strip which protrudes from the frame in order to form a seal with the surrounding window frame.
