A method for crystallizing an organic acid, which comprises introducing a raw material solution of a salt of the organic acid to a reaction vessel (2) as a raw solution for reaction, supplying an acid to the raw material solution of the salt of the organic acid from a dropping tube (10), to thereby once precipitate crystals of the organic acid, supplying a base into the reaction vessel (2) from another dropping tube (15) to dissolve a part of the crystals precipitated above, and then, further supplying an acid from the dropping tube (10) to crystallize the organic acid. The method allows the production of crystals having an average particle diameter greater than that of crystals obtained by a conventional method, in the so-called neutralization crystallization method.
