It is intended to provide a method of efficiently replicating RNA containing
the full-length genome sequence of HCV; a method of preparing viral particles
of HCV containing full-length HCV replicon RNA or full-length HCV genome RNA
by using a cell culture system; a method of producing hepatitis C viral
particles which comprises culturing cells having replicon RNA comprising the
full-length RNA sequence of hepatitis C virus of the genotype 2a and a base
sequence containing at least one selection marker and/or at least one reporter
gene and at least one IRES sequence or the full-length genome RNA of hepatitis
C virus of the genotype 2a to thereby allowing the production of viral
particles in the culture medium; a hepatitis C vaccine; and an antibody
against hepatitis C viral particles.
