The adjusting device can rotate at least one spindle (10), which acts on a brake lining via a thrust piece. It has an output toothing arrangement with at least one tooth (8) engaging into a groove (9) in the inner circumference of the spindle. The tooth and/or the groove are elastically compressible, and/or are elastically supported against each other, and/or several teeth and/or several groove sections are elastically supported against each other. The tooth or teeth is/are located on a driving sleeve (5). Two or more teeth and/or two ore more outer side sections (15,16) of a tooth/teeth, are pre-tensioned by a spring (17).
