In a process to regulate the operation of a sliver drafting process, a correctional signal amplitude is split into two and each part used to change the rotational speed of drafting rollers. In a sliver fiber drafting (FB) process a regulated carding machine has a sequence of drafting rollers (5, 6, 7) in which the cross-sectional density of the fiber mass is monitored both before and after the rollers. The measured amplitude is employed as a correction parameter for a regulator (30) determining the rotational speed of one or more rollers (5a). The rotational speed of one (6a) of a second pair of rollers (6) is regulated by a second regulator circuit (35, 40). Some of the measuring signals are subdivided into partial amplitudes that add up to the total amplitude of the respective signal. One part of the signal is used in the first regulator circuit and the second part amplitude is used in the second regulator circuit. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly.
|
