The assembly for the automatic cleaning of a waste flow pipe (1) has a vessel or shaft (2) interrupting the flow pipe. The pipe lies in a groove in the flat or structured shaft floor. The flushing system has a flushing tube (3) with an inflow connection (5), a flexible section (6) and a pipe section (7). A rocker mechanism (4) is at a holder (8), with a weight (11) on a cable (10) which passes around deflection rollers (9) to a fastening at the pipe section, to lift it upwards on the flexible section when the weight of liquid in the pipe is less than the suspended weight. When the weight of the liquid builds up to overcome the suspended weight, the trapped liquid is released into the waste pipe in a torrent to clear it of any deposits.
