A seat assembly for a vehicle includes at least one seat, a central support which is arranged, in use, to extend along the centre of the vehicle floorpan and a cantilever arrangement for mounting the seat on the central support in a cantilevered manner. The cantilever arrangement may be mounted to the seat support to allow pivotal movement of the seat between a lowered position, in which a passenger can be seated, and an elevated position, in which the seat is moved out of the way in order to provide a luggage carrying volume. In one embodiment, the cantilever arrangement is axially movable along the central support so that the seat can be moved therealong. |
