Card adapter (3) has a housing (7) with an outer format that enables its insertion in a compact flash (CF) slot (2) of an electronic device (1). The inner format of the card adapter enables the insertion of a miniature card (4) into it. The adapter thus enables the use of a miniature card, e.g. a chip or magnetic strip card, in a CF slot.
