The method involves having soil, covering and or structure parts of an above ground construction work made out of solid wood parts which can be joined together. The solid wood parts extend transverse to the longitudinal direction in given directions and the respective solid wood parts have interspersing peg channels (3). The pegs are driven in by means of a tool under impact and or vibration to shift them into recesses to form a joint between neighboring wood parts. Additionally or alternatively solid wood parts with circular cross-section can be used. An independent claim is included for a timber construction system.
