The ventilator has a movable plate (12) arranged between upper and lower gas bags (10, 11). The plate (12) is moved together with a cushioned seat plate (20) to contract and expand the bags for outflow and sucking of the air, respectively, during forward and backward movements of the seat plate, so that continuous feeding of air to the seat plate or cushioned backrest (21) takes place. The cushioned seat plate or the cushioned backrest is wrapped with an air-permeable material.
