<p>Briquettes as a steelmaking raw material capable of effective recycling of shot dregs; and a process for producing the same. A solidification auxiliary agent is dropped into shot dregs composed of shot balls and metal powder containing iron powder, and the shot dregs are compression molded. The compression molded shot dregs are dried. Alternatively, shot dregs are mixed in a grinding sludge containing grinding chips of iron base metal and a grinding fluid wherein oils and water are contained, thereby obtaining cotton-like flocs. The cotton-like flocs are compression molded, thereby obtaining a brittle compact wherein fibrous grinding chips are roughly shorn and from which excess water and oils have been removed. The brittle compact is impregnated with a solidification auxiliary agent, solidified and dried.</p> |
