<p>A method for producing a polycarbonate resin having recurring units represented by the general formulae (I) and (II): where R<1> and R<2> represents an alkyl group having one to six carbon atoms, and X represents a single bond, an alkylene group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkylidene group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, a cycloalkylene group having 5 to 15 carbon atoms, a cycloalkylidene group having 5 to 15 carbon atoms, -S-, -SO-, -SO2-, -O-, -CO-, or the like, R<3> and R<4> each represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbons, and Y represents a linear or branched alkylene group having 2 to 15 carbons, a - d are each an integer of 0 to 4 and n is an integer of 2 to 450, by the interfacial polymerization method, wherein a polycarbonate copolymer is produced by using a phenol-modified diol having a content of hydroxybenzoic acids of 500 mass ppm or less as a raw material. The above method allows the production being improved in productivity, in the production of a PC copolymer having a specific structure using a diester diol as a raw material.</p> |
