<p>An adjustable load carrying arm has two arms (2, 3) linked by a locking pivot joint (4) and with a load support shackle (5) at the free end and a magnetic grip (6, 7) at the bottom end. The shackle is at the end of a longer arm and the magnetic grip is at the bottom of a short arm. The two arms are locked together at the picot by interlocking claw profiles. The joint is locked and released by a ,manually adjusted clamping wheel (10). The operator sets the angle between the arms and clamps the system onto a workpiece. By attaching a conventional hoist to the shackle the user is able to rotate the workpiece into the selected position, e.g. to fit onto a lathe.</p> |
