A beverage containing bamboo extract as main ingredient, particularly a beverage containing bamboo extract as main ingredient which is useful for amelioration of diabetes, cancer, lifestyle-related illness, etc. The beverage is characterized in that it contains as main ingredient the bamboo extract obtained through the step of immersing bamboo in water and the step of heating the water to 95˚C or higher and maintaining the temperature for a period of 2 hr 45 min to 3 hr 15 min so as to effect extraction. |
