It is possible to judge whether a piano performance sound inputted from a microphone is the one instructed by a key pressing instruction device. When creating a model, a spectrum creation unit (12) creates a power spectrum for each sound height and stores it as a single sound model in a spectrum storage unit (5). According to a key pressing instruction, the single sound model is read out from the storage unit (5) to a comparison unit (6) so as to judge whether the pressed key is correct according to the distance between the played sound and the power spectrum of the performance sound. When an accord is played, a synthesis of the single sound model is compared to the power spectrum of the performance sound. If the performance is the one instructed by the key pressing, the key pressing instruction device proceeds its operation and outputs the next instruction to a display device (8).
