<p>By converting the audio data, a bit stream based on the DVD video recording standard is converted into a bit stream based on the DVD video standard. A stream conversion device includes: a first conversion unit for inputting a bit stream adequate for the DVD video recording standard, converting other than the audio data in the bit stream into data adequate for the DVD video standard, and outputting the obtained bit stream; a second conversion unit used when the audio data is not adequate for the DVD video standard, for converting the audio data in the bit stream outputted from the first conversion unit, into data adequate for the DVD video standard, and outputting the obtained bit stream.</p> |
