Sealing for a slidable element

The seal fitted within a window framework has a horizontal and vertical framework support (13 to 16), connected in the corners for attachment to a sliding element framework (2). The sliding seal has its sealing rim (23, 24) covered according to the horizontal and vertical framework supports. The free end (25, 26) in the corner areas of the seal framework is arc-shaped. The sealing rim covers a majority of the longitudinal extending of the sealing rim having a glide layer (27) and the vertical sections of the sealing rims are positioned with their free ends are bent over at angle of 10 degrees to the inside of the seal framework. An independent claim is included for a method.
