<p>A method is provided for monitoring the safety of the steering system by monitoring the input signals to a control device using safety functions (e/e/pessf, appsf). In a first step, the input signals are plausibility checked using an circuitry-dependent safety functions (e/e/pessf), and in a second step, they are plausibility checked using application-related safety functions (appsf). For the input signals a state is determined which can be used to configure the applications of the steering system. Independent claims are included for the following; (1) a computer program product; (2) a control device.</p> |
