The press has a structural base (2) supporting columns (3) which support a lower plate (4) and an upper plate (5), where the plate (4) is moved vertically in translation. The plates (4, 5) respectively support lower and upper heat insulating supports (7, 21) having plates (8, 22) respectively supporting lower and upper dies (14, 27). The lower die (14) has positioning fingers (31) that are received in bores (34) in the upper die (27). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) utilization of a press for thermal straightening of a component formed by forging (B) utilization of a press for maintaining and pressing a blade of a turbomachine.
