Use of mono-, di- or tri-iodomethanes (I) for absorption of ionizing radiation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for radiographic detection, in a cavity of a molded object formed by removing the molding core, of residues of the core, where the residues are labeled with (I); and (2) device for protection against ionizing radiation comprising an element that carriers a layer of (I) and suitable for placing between the body and a source of radiation.
