An electrical heating device 10 comprises a first heating means 12 having an electrical heating element communicating with a heating fluid and disposed within a closed chamber 24, a housing 40 surrounding the first heating means 12 and comprises first 42 and second panels 44, and an additional electrical heating means 14 disposed in the housing 40 proximate one of the panels 42, 44. First heating means 12 may comprise sheet metal pressed panels 20, 22 having peripheral lands 26 joined by welding and panels 20, 22 have upper and lower chambers (28, 30, fig 2) with an electrical heating element (34) in chamber (30). The heating fluid in chamber 24 may be oil. Lands 26 may have holes 46 which are aligned with holes (48) in panel 42 so that chamber 24 may be fixed to panel 42 by screws 50. Additional electrical heating means 14 may comprise a sinuous heating element mounted on a flexible aluminium backing sheet, which is adhered to panel 44. Panel 44 may have controls comprising on/off switches 16a, 18a, a thermostat 16b and a timer 19 so that both heating means 12, 14 may be independently controlled. Panel 42 may have apertures 42f, 42g permitting airflow through the device 10. |
