The cable junction box is designed especially for connecting and branching underground cables, e.g. telecommunication cables, especially for connecting terminals of successive sections of underground cables, while ensuring water-tightness of such connections. It is characterised in that it consists of two parts (1a, 1b and 100a, 100b). When the box is assembled, the first part is inserted into the second part, and both parts (1a, 1b and 100a, 100b) of the junction box (1, 100) are filled with gel (2, 102). At least at one end, both parts (1a, 1b and 100a, 100b) have protrusions (6, 10, 106, 110), which breakable walls (5, 9, 105, 109). The protrusions (6, 10, 106, 110) contain complementary cable-holding ribs (6, 8, 103, 108) with indentures (4, 7, 104, 107) for cables. Besides, both parts (1a, 1b and 100a, 100b) of the cable junction box (1, 100) are equipped at their bottoms with ribs (11a, 11b, 12a, 12b and 113, 114, 115) that protect clasping bands (13a, 13b, and 113a, 113b, 113c, 113d) from sliding. |
