Compact earthing switch for gas insulated substation

The device has an earthing drive (11), a movable earth contact (110c) and a fixed earth contact (12). The fixed and movable earth contacts are arranged in a gas chamber (9) of the gas-isolated switching system (15) and the earthing switching device (1') is mechanically connected to the housing (2) of the system near the fixed contact. A mounting cover (10) has a concave structural volume (100) expanding the gas chamber and the fixed earth contact is mounted on the inside of the cover and at least partly arranged in the structural volume of the cover. An independent claim is also included for an electronic switching system, especially a high or medium voltage switching system.
