Class 108(1) A trailer for aircraft engines &c., comprises rails 1 secured to box-section inverted arch members 2 which carry the ground wheels on stub axles, the front wheels being steerably connected with the tow-bar 28 in a conventional manner. In use, the engine or other component is carried in frames mounted on carriages provided with rollers engaging the upper surfaces of the rails 1 so that the engine may be moved from one trailer to another, complementary mating surfaces on the rear ends of the rails 1 ensuring correct alignment between the two sets of rails. |
