The device has a molded body (3) that can fit in the auditory canal (2) of an ear, an earpiece (4) for supplying sound to the ear removably arranged in the molded body and a sound outlet (8) between the earpiece and the side of the molded body that faces the eardrum when the insert is in the canal. The sound outlet is formed in a capsule (5) and is funnel-shaped or has the shape of an exponential horn. A cover is attached to the side of the molded body facing away from the eardrum for closing an opening in the molded body in which the earpiece is inserted.
