PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open/close the shutter of a developer discharge port with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of plural developing containers 61 supported by a developing device supporting member H, successively stopped at a 1st stopping position P1 for developing respective color component latent images on the surface of an image carrier 16 to respective color toner images and provided with the developer discharge port 68 formed on the upper wall of the container at the time of stopping at a 1st discharge position set on the position P1 so as to discharge excess developer; the shutter 69 turning between a closing position where it abuts on the inner surface of the upper wall of the container 61 at the time of stopping at the position P1 and closes the discharge port 68 and an opening position where it is separated from the inner surface of the upper wall of the container when the upper wall of the container is located at a lower position because of the rotation of the member H and opens the discharge port 68; and a shutter locking member 71 locking the shutter 69 turning to the opening position at a specified position. |
