The arrangement has a holder (3) for positional displacement of the clamp tongs (1) holding the instrument to be processed and a cutting head mount with an arrangement for guiding the cutting disc surface onto the surface to be processed and rotatable about a vertical axis. A socket (45) carries both holders. The clamp head (2) holder (3) is a curved part which is guided in the socket. The clamp head containing the clamp tongs is attached radially to the end of the clamp head holder and can be adjusted in position by pivoting the holder. An electric motor (75) driving the cutting disc is mounted in the cutting head housing and connected to the cutting disc shaft via an angled gear.
