A reclosable fastener tape (921) includes a first fastener strip (922) and a second fastener strip (925) that is adapted to mate with the first fastener strip (922) in a reclosable fashion. A sheet (940) connects the first fastener strip (922) to the second fastener strip (925). The sheet (940) has an unpunctured tear line (975) formed between the first fastener strip (922) and the second fastener strip (925) for providing a tamper evident hermetic seal when the fastener tape is sealed with a bag.
