Further downsizing, reduction in weight, and addition of new functions are demanded for mobile telephones, notebook-sized computers, and remote controllers. A two-axis hinge component with a rotation limiting mechanism enables such apparatuses to be increased in durability, downsized, reduced in weight, and added with a rotation limiting mechanism. In a two-axis structure hinge where a rotation shaft (2) penetrates through an open/close shaft (3), a torque unit is constructed by making a stationary cam and a rotation cam to be coaxially in contact with the rotation shaft (2) and the open/close shaft (3). Contact cam surfaces produce slide friction torque and clicking effect in rotation and open/close operations. The torque unit is constructed independent of the rotation and open/close shafts and has a rotation limiting mechanism by which the rotation of the rotation shaft is limited depending on an open/close angle of the open/close shaft. The two-axis hinge is downsized by the reduction in the number of components, achieves stable torque, generates clicking effect, and has enhanced durability. Further, the two-axis hinge secures a space by concentrated arrangement of components. |
