A shock caused by an operation mistake may be applied to a disc section while a user does not notice and a failure is often caused. However, in such a case, it has been impossible to obtain the information on that such a shock has been applied. For this, when a failure is caused on the disc section, it has been difficult to find the cause of it. There is provided a disc control device including a shock sensor (13) for detecting a shock applied to a disc section (12) performing reading and writing data from/to a hard disc (120) and shock log data generation management means (18) for generating shock log data concerning the shock detected according to a predetermined shock judgment threshold value concerning the shock level.
