<p>The invention relates to an opposed cylinder-type internal combustion engine, meant to fit out transportation means as well as stationary and mobile equipments. According to the invention, the engine comprises a toothed wheel (11) driving a primary shaft (12) whereon there is mounted a sleeve (14) provided with some cams (b and c) and fixed onto the primary shaft (12) by means of an axial coupling (15) which can be engaged/disengaged by using a control device (16), the cams (b and c) inducing the motion to some racks (17) compressed by some springs (18) and engaged by some pinions (d) located on the casings (8) of the one-way roller couplings (A).</p> |
