To improve a condensing efficiency and ensure the reliability of a solid-state imaging device by improving the embeddability of a translucent material constituting a waveguide. A solid- state imaging device comprising a light receiving unit (1) for receiving light to conduct a photoelectric conversion, and a waveguide (20) formed in an insulating film (5) covering a substrate provided with the light receiving unit (1) and consisting of a translucent material, the waveguide (20)being constituted so as to guide an incident light from the outside to the light receiving unit (1), wherein a forward-taper shape unit, of which the planar shape size as viewed from a light incident direction is reduced from the light incident-side surface toward the light receiving unit side, is provided to the waveguide (20).
