The circuit has descramblers (122, 124, 126, 128) that decode an encoded digital broadcast video signal. The descramblers decode the signal based on respective encoding formats and descramble broadcast contents. A scrambler (129) is coupled to the descramblers for encoding the data packet to provide a re-encoded digital data packet. A storage device (180) stores received broadcast contents in an encoded form.
