1,091,564. Pile fabrics. W. D. McALPINE. May 5, 1965 [May 5, 1964], No. 18704/64. Heading D1K. Pile yarns 15, or a batt, are fed between a member 33 and a moving belt 23 which passes around a roller 22 so that blades 25, which are spaced apart by the curvature, subsequently close to form pile loops which are applied to a base fabric 49. To form loops of different height the yarns may be tensioned by solenoid operated spindles 20 so that the blades 25 slip over the yarns instead of wholly carrying them around and looping them. |
