FIELD: electrical engineering; voltage inverters feeding windings of controlled electrical machines including reluctance inductor motors. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed voltage inverter is provided with upper and lower backward diodes, each incorporating anode and cathode, as well as positive and negative load-connecting terminals; cathode of upper backward diode is connected to first terminal of power supply and its anode and negative load-connecting terminal are connected to positive terminal of first lower switch; anode of lower backward diode is connected to second terminal of power supply and its cathode and positive load-connecting terminal, to negative terminal of nth upper switch; voltage equal to (m/n)U is applied to load upon specifying integer number m taken from -n to n range, as well as integer number i that may be from 0 to n + m for negative values and from m to n for positive ones, and finding number j from formula j = n + m - i, as well as opening i upper switches closest to positive load-connecting terminal in case of i > 1 or opening j lower switches closest to negative load-connecting terminal in case of j > 0, negative values being possible only when load carries current, where U is power supply voltage; voltage variations cause sequential change-over of upper and lower switches, these switches being opened starting from those closest to load-connecting terminals and closed in reverse sequence with time intervals between switching operations; current through phase winding of reluctance inductor motor is generated by means of (2n + 1)-layer comparator or double-layer comparator including check-up of phase current time beyond passage formed by two layers; voltage across capacitors is checked up when partial voltage is supplied to load in order to prevent excessive charge or discharge of capacitors, and forced switching operations are conducted. ^ EFFECT: eliminated short circuits across multilayer voltage arms, enhanced reliability of power supply to reluctance inductor motors. ^ 11 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl |
