FIELD: building, particularly oil and gas well workover operation and for recovery of threaded connection impermeability. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves eliminating gaps between threads of the connection by plastic deforming threaded pipe part by applying radial force thereto. Device has valve with pipe connected to shaft carrying hydromechanical reamer, which performs movement in axial direction. The reamer is made as hollow wedge having cylindrical part and conical head with longitudinal slots formed on outer surface thereof. Sliding sectors having hardened nuts at outer surfaces thereof are movably installed in slots. Cylindrical wedge part has spring mechanism which may cooperate with sliding sectors through rest. Lower shaft end has shoe. Upper wedge part has cylindrical body displaceable in axial direction. Upper and lower pistons secured to upper ends of wedge and shaft define hydraulic chamber with shaft and inner cylindrical body surface.
