<p>A method for manufacturing a display wherein defect modes of a light-emitting device such as shrinking and uneven emission are prevented and the time necessary for a treatment conducted before forming a layer containing an organic compound (an EL layer) is shortened is disclosed. The method is characterized in that a light-emitting device is manufactured by such a procedure wherein a first electrode electrically connected to a source region or a drain region of a thin-film transistor is formed, then an insulating film is so formed as to cover end portions of the first electrode, a layer containing an organic compound is then formed on the first electrode and the insulating film after conducting a plasma treatment on the first electrode and the insulating film in an atmosphere containing argon and oxygen, and a second electrode is formed on the layer containing the organic compound.</p> |
