The isolator has a cutting tool (4) which is operated by a pyrotechnic piston (8) and which is rotatably mounted around an axis (5). The cutting tool is formed by a semi-circular blade and has a lock stub (4b) arranged opposite to the pyrotechnic piston including a hemispherical head. The blade is immobilized in its initial position with respect to a case (2) by a support pin (12).
