Cream comprising D, L-alpha-lipoic acid, coenzyme Q-10 and acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride for the treatment of sun injured skin

A cream, for the external treatment of visible sun injuries caused by the action of free radicals, comprises as active ingredients 0.3-7% by weight of D,L-alpha-lipoic acid, 0.05-0.5% by weight of coenzyme Q and 0.01-3% by weight of acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride which are carried in a stabilizing cream base. The cream can be prepared by dissolving the D,L-alpha-lipoic acid in caprylic/capric triglyceride before adding to the cream base and remainder of the ingredients.
