PURPOSE: A nonaqueous electrolyte solution and a secondary battery containing the electrolyte solution are provided to reduce the generation of gas at a high temperature (85 deg.C) remarkably, thereby preventing the swelling due to the generation of gas of a battery and improving the capacity storage at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte solution comprises a carbonate-based organic solvent mixture where a lithium salt is dissolved; and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a 1-phenylsulfonyl pyrrole derivative or 1-phenylsulfonyl thiophene derivative represented by the formula 1, wherein X is O or S; Y and Z which are a substituent of a benzene ring represent H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group of C1-C12, an aryl group, an alkenyl group or a fluorinated low molecular weight alkyl group. Preferably the lithium salt is at least one selected from the group consisting of LiPF6, LiClO4, LiAsF6, LiBF4 and LiN(C2F5SO3)2; and the carbonate-based organic solvent mixture is a mixture of linear and cyclic carbonate-based organic solvents, the cyclic carbonate-based organic solvent is ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate or their mixture, and the linear carbonate-based organic solvent is carbonate dimethyl, carbonate diethyl, carbonate ethylmethyl, carbonate methylpropyl or their mixtures. |
