A diaphragm for a loud speaker exhibiting stabilized sound pressure frequency characteristics by suppressing split resonance, and a speaker employing it. The diaphragm comprises at least three or more odd number of thick parts (11c) provided radially from the central part toward the outer circumference, and quasi- thick parts (11d) respectively formed between the thick parts to become gradually thinner from the outer circumference toward the inside so that web-like thin parts (11e) are formed at the inner parts.
