Methods for identifying an antagonist of the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence of Figure 61 (SEQ ID NO:162) are described. The antagonists identified can be used for preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of cancer. The antagonists are preferably antibodies or antisense polynucleotides. Also described are methods of detecting cancerous tissue by assaying the tissue for amplification of a gene encoding the polypeptide. (62) Divided out of 507435
