An electrolytic capacitor having a low- impedance characteristic, a high-breakdown voltage characteristic of the order of 100 V, a favorable high-temperature life characteristic, and a favorable electrolyte-leakage characteristic. Using an electrolyte containing an aluminum tetrafluorate and using an electrode foil subjected to a phosphoric acid process for an anode or cathode electrode foil provide the low-impedance characteristic, high-breakdown voltage characteristic, and favorable high-temperature live characteristic. Using the electrolyte, using a foil, as a cathode electrode foil, exhibiting an electrode potential in the electrolyte nobler than that of the cathode tab or using a foil subjected to an chemical conversion process as the cathode electrode foil can provide the above characteristics and the favorable electrolyte-leakage characteristic. |
