The method involves providing a continuous band (14) whose rear side (14b) is provided with an adhesive substance. Printing (8) is applied on front sides of elementary portions (5, 10) of the band. The portions form respective connecting portion and folding portion of a label (1). The printing applied on the portion (5) is covered by a non adhesive layer (7), and mirror printing (9) is applied on the layer.
