<p>The transfer board is made from supple and semi-rigid materials; the supple material, on which the patient rests, is in three layers - idential upper and lower layers of 100 per cent polymer fabric, and an intermediate layer of a polymer wadding between them with anti-bacterial and anti-acarian treatment and designed to provide thermal insulation, The different layers are joined together by ultrasound spot welding. The semi-rigid material (4) forms the frame of the board, it is in rounded plastic panels designed to provide rigidity when bridging a space between two beds, and is fitted with handles (6). The board is made in two halves that can be separated from under a patient once he/she has been transferred, while transverse seams allow it to be folded when not in use.</p> |
