Optical disk with printed label covering chucking portion

An optical disk that has a printed label on its upper surface which also covers the chucking portion is disclosed. The disk includes transparent synthetic resin disk substrate having a centre hole for chucking 5, a clamping area 6 around the centre hole 5 and an elastic film for label printing 10 fixed to the upper surface of the disk substrate so as to close the centre hole. The film 10 is not fixed to the chucking area 5,6 and when a disk chuck is inserted this portion of the film expands and is pushed up by the chuck. When the chuck is retracted the film returns to its original flat state.
