A chilling device comprises a base member (16), an outer sleeve (27), an inner sleeve (25) and a top member (18), the inner sleeve defining a chillable space, chilling means (32) between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve for circulating chilled air around an air gap between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve. In one form, the inner sleeve is three sided, the fourth side of the chillable space being defined by the chilling means arranged within the outer sleeve. Also disclosed are novel insulating panels adapted to be positioned within the space between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve.
