Sulphinic acid derivatives useful in gastro-reflux disease

A compound of formula (I) is described to be used in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), regurgitation in infants, belching, hyperkinesia, emesis and dyspepsia. R1, R3 and R4 in formula (I) represent hydrogen; and R2 represents hydroxyl, fluoro or an oxo group. The racemate of (3-amino-2-hydroxypropyl)sulphinic acid is an exception. It is disclosed that the compound, racemate or a stereoisomer thereof may exist in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and/or solvate thereof.
