PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of measurement in the measurement of microbial count for a powdery specimen. SOLUTION: The measurement of the microbial count is carried out for measuring the number of microorganisms contained in the powdery specimen. In the measurement, a surfactant is contained in a diluting liquid used for preparing a specimen liquid. Thereby, the microorganisms are effectively liberated from the specimen in the specimen liquid.
